Gourmet Tour - North Italy

Overview

A tour of Italy also means good cooking and good drinking. The itinerary alternates towns and small centres far from mass tourism, medieval villages and relaxing landscapes, to discover Italian culture and the regional traditions, through the gastronomic products of the territory. You start from Piedmont that has given roots to the Slow Food movement and is the land of famous wines and truffles. The route unravels through Emilia Romagna, indisputable homeland to gourmets, with its unique products such as parmesan cheese (parmigiano reggiano), “culatello” of Zibello and balsamic vinegar, continues toward Lake Garda for a tasting of the much appreciated Amarone and then on to Franciacorta for its bubbly and a stopover in one of the most famous Italian restaurants.
